ST Kids is a great place for kids ages 5 to 15 to come together for a high cardio fun workout. This fun workout challenges kids of all ages while teaching them proper technique. This is a great place to build friendship while gaining insight on an active lifestyle.
Our coaches lead ST Kids by demonstrating and practicing functional fitness movements. Some of the most basic movements that will be taught and performed are: -Burpees -Push Ups -Sit Ups -Air Squats -Lunges -Running
All classes start with an introductory period for any new members. We will circle up and introduce ourselves so that nobody feels uncomfortable by being new. We will then go into a stretching routine, which will get the kids loose while also having fun.
After stretches, we will move into a 15-minute teaching session where the coach will introduce a new move or practice an existing move. This period will be spent on proper technique and will allow the kids to practice and ask questions.
After the coaching session, we will go into a 15 to 20 minute workout, which will incorporate the new move along with other moves in a fast paced and fun workout. Some of these workouts will be individual and some will be with partners, but all will have a coach walking around the whole time helping with questions and encouraging the class.
Lastly, we end every class with a game. This allows the kids to have something to look forward to while burning some more energy. These games are also high paced but also involves a workout movement in some form.
Any kid’s ages 5 to 15 who are looking to get in shape and improve their well-being. This class is great for muscle tone, stamina, weight loss and balance. These classes break away from the boringness of a normal gym workout and allow kids to have fun and be themselves while getting into shape.
You do not need any previous gym experience or technique training. Every kid is welcome! We work with beginners and begin slowly. Water breaks are constantly offered and there is no judgement in this class. All movements have an easier substitute so if one cannot perform a movement we will be able to give them a less taxing movement to perform that will work the same muscles. Only rule in this class is no quitting. We will work as a team to complete all goals while cheering each other on.
For your first class, make sure to do the following: -Wear Comfortable workout clothes and athletic shoes. -Bring a water bottle for breaks. -Arrive a few minutes prior to class time. -Parents and kids let a coach know you are new. -After class starts parents are allowed to leave and return or stay and watch in a designated area.
